When I add a text box, it has a border. I can't get rid of it

I have to use Word for a flyer and I can't get rid of the border when I
insert a text box.

Double-click on the edge, or right-click and Format Text Box. In Colors and
Lines select the line color and set to no line. Does this solve your problem?
