When I calculate, partially cmplt tasks w/o updates dont push?

I'm having some problems with moving my status date. When I calculate the
plan with the current status date, i have no errors; however, when I push the
status date out two weeks, I get numerous errors. I have tracked down the
cause and it seems that when I push the status date (or data date) out two
weeks, those tasks that I didn't update, are not simply pushing out two
additional weeks. I was assuming (and what I want to happen) is that when I
don't receive an update from a task owner that his/her remaining duration
simply pushes out two weeks (aka the % complete remains the same, but the
"expected" finish date moves out). Currently, if there is a task that is
partially complete, project appears to be retaining the same finish date.

*** it also seem that this issue is only occuring on tasks that have FF
relationships.

My objective is to calculate the project with a new status date (essentially
pushing everything out) and then only update the tasks (pull completed tasks
back or update remaining durations on the incomplete tasks) that I received
updates for.

Tools/Tracking/Update Project....
There is an option to respread incomplete tasks to after a specified date
(which autopopulates with the status date but can be changed).

Increasing duration causes regression of the %Complete field which is
duration based. If you want to hold that value constant, you will need to
use either %Work complete or Physical%Complete.
