When I close an email to go to another the first one disappears!

I suddenly have this "Unread Mail" folder. New mail cannot be opened from
the "Inbox" anymore, even though there's a blue # telling me how many mails
are there. The same # appears at the "Unread Mail" folder, and I can open
that one just fine. The problem occurs when I'm finished reading a mail and
go to the next one. The first one disappears and I cannot find it anywhere.
None of my personal or archive folders have it. I've even lost a couple
mails because I decided to come back and finish it later and I cannot find
it, and I did not delete it. This started happening a couple days ago when I
first noticed that new "Unread Mail" folder. Have I done something to change
the way Outlook works for me?

Hi Patty,

You will have better luck if you post in an Outlook NG. This group is for
Access, the database product that comes with Office Pro.

This is an Access news group. However, you apparently have "Hide read
messages" checked or set someplace.

It sounds like you're using Microsoft Outlook (or perhaps some other
mailreader program); this newsgroup is for a different program, the
database program Microsoft Access.

Please scroll down the list of newsgroups on the Communities webpage
and pick a newsgroup dedicated to your mail program
(microsoft.public.outlook.general for example).
