When I convert to PDF, the file gets larger!

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Recently I noticed when I save a file from PPT to PDF, the file is saving much bigger. All my graphics are almost an inch larger all the way around...any clues what I'm doing wrong?

I have the same experience, in fact, the PDF baloons to 10 times the PPT
size. What are we doing wrong.
