When I create a PDF in PP 2007 the audio doesn't play

When i create a PDF file in PP 2007 the graphics images are fine but the
audio (which shows a small speaker icon on the bottom right) doesn't play and
the transition effects are not working. I save it as a PDF from within PP
2007 and I have checked the boxes that say include transition and include
animation. I have tried a numer of times with no success. I am using Adobe
Acrobat 8.1.2.
