I want to update my XP Office 2000 to the new Office 2003. When I do so,

it erase my files on my computer?
When you install Office 2003 you should have choice to remove prior
versions. If you choose NO, your prior version programs files will remain
intact. If your choose YES, your prior version program files will be
deleted.
Note: The above refers to "program files". Neither choice should delete
your data files. Note: the should. There is always a small but non zero
chance that your data files will be deleted/damaged. When installing a
large set of applications such as Office, you should protect yourself by
doing an image backup prior to installation.
