When I expand query builder, why are the search fields grayed out?

I have Office 2007, Part of MS Office Professional Plus 2007.
Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 2.
I'm not sure what "type of mail account" means.

Type of mail account: Exchange, POP3, IMAP, etc.

What are you trying to accomplish in Outlook 2007?
