when I go to print the zoom button does not work what is wrong?

I have a document that is formated to print two pages on 8.5 x 11 paper
landscape paper. When I print it it prints very small. When I try to use
the zoom button on the print screen nothing happens. The button is
apearently not working.
Any sugestions?
