When I import on-line clipart I get error messages

I am attempting to import clipart from the powerpoint on-line clipart file. I
download and then save the file but cannot import them into slide because
when I do a box come sup that says it must be coverted to a metafile. When I
click OK I get the error messge that says an erros occured while importing
the file. Any ideas?
