Using Microsoft Project on Vista

When I opened my project plan, random rows of information were deleted,
including all associated information. There are now blank rows through parts
of my project plan. I tried to then re enter the information, but after
resaving same issue happened again!

Deleted or just not showing? Make sure you do not have. any
filters applied, or custom grouping.

To show all tasks, I turn off the auto filters and then make sure the filter
drop down says "All Tasks" and the Group By says "No Group"

When P2007 first came out, there was some issues of renumbered tasks and
random items not showing. However, we have not seen posts here on that issue
in monthes. The way to avoid that (if you installed from a very old P2007
disk) is to make sure you are up to date on all the service packs and updates
that are out for MS Project 2007. The current is SP2 plus a bunch of other
updates.

If all these items (above) do not fix the problem, try saving the file from
P2003 as XML and then open the XML file in P2007. Since XML is purely a
(very large) text file, there should be no Gremlims allowed.
