When i or anyone else sends a meeting request 2 requests get sent?

When anyone on the domain sends a meeting request on outlook 2003. two are
sent out one original and the other from a specific user x and when the
meeting request is accepted it gives a message stating that you have accepted
the meeting on behalf of user x. I have checked delegates in outlook, user x
has no delegates specified.
