When I remove an email account in outlook, I still receive emails!

I deleted an email account completely from Outlook, so that it does not
appear in my accounts; send/receive groups; or rules.

However, when I hit send/receive, I am still receiving the emails to the
address that I deleted, straight into my inbox!

Can anyone explain why this happens?

Perhaps the email account is a domain 'catch all' and you still have an
account with same domain?

I don't think this is the case, as it is a BTOpenworld email address from my
ISP

Do you have any other btopenworld addy's?
Have you set in any web mail access the option to forward mail to another
account?
Do the properties/headers of a msg show the deleted account
Try sending a msg to yourself, to the deleted account
