When I reply messages disappear from inbox

When I respond to an email, the original messages and all attachments
disappear from my inbox. It does it on this computer, but not on another one
which is also running Windows XP and Office XP. I have tried to find out how
to stop this by comparing all the settings to no avail. I really need to
have all the messages and attachments saved in my inbox whether I respond or
not. Please help. Thanks.

I'll bet they don't. I suspect that if you click View>Arrange By>Current
View you'll see "Unread Messages" is checked. Change it to "Messages".

Thank you very much Brian. That worked. Now who'd have thunk to look there.
