When i startup word 2003 the new page is automatically underlined.

When i startup word 2003 the new page automatacally undlined and i do not see
the underline.
When i copy the content from word and paste it in any other office program
it show.

How can i stop underline from starting when word 2003 startup.

I tired to search for Normal.dot in my computer and i can not find it.
I have word 2003 installed in my computer. the operating system is XP Home.

In Windows Explorer, you need to go to Tools, Folder Options, View tab and
check 'Display the Contents of System Folders', 'Show Hidden Files and
Folders' and clear the check boxes for 'Hide Extensions for Known File
Types' and 'Hide protected Operating System Files'.

Once they are cleared, you should be able to use search to find normal.dot.
By default, normal.dot is stored in

Documents and Settings, Username, Application Data, Microsoft, Templates.
