When I transfer from one doc to another, some type goes over marg

After I save a document from a cd or an attachment, when I attempt to
transfer it to a template with set margins and in justified form, sections of
the document either overflow the right margin or fall short of it.

In either case, I have been unable to pull or push the copy into a justified
margin.

Please help. I'm desperate!

Is the saved document a Word document? or is it a pdf or some other
graphics format? Is it from a web document with a paragraph or line
break after every line?
