When I wrap text, the text disappears unless I click on the cell

About a month ago my Excel program (office 2007) started not displaying text
in cells where I have wrapped text. If I unwrap the cell, it displays across
the cells to the right as when I typed it. When I wrap the cell again, the
text is not displayed unless I double click the cell. The text prints and
displays on print preview. We have reloaded the program twice. Is this a
virus or a problem in some kind of central file that is not replaced when the
program is reloaded?
