When I write email, can I get names in contact list by last name

Using Outlook 2003. When I create a new email and click on my contact list,
the list is in order by first name. I have tried changing settings, but
always have to look up contact by firstname lastname. I would like to be
able to look up contact by lastname firstname.

Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change… > Set your sort order there
