When open WROD doc it take too long???? H E L P

Use Panther and when I open Word all the menu is grayed it takes
around 40 seconds to open a new doc or an existing one and the ball of
death gows around and around and then it all comes to "normal"

If I creat another new page same thing

Any suggestions

Another Word user solved the problem like this:

I've tracked it down! There were Acrobat plug-in's in the Office/Startup
Items folder (PDFMaker.dot) that were causing the trouble. Once I pulled
them out, Word started up like magic. Thanks for your help!

I hope this works for you. Otherwise, make sure that you have Office
updated with the 10.1.2, 10.1.4 and 10.1.5 updaters. Then repair disk
permissions.

Beth Thks so much for your kind reply and time. It did happened to me
when I did isntalled Acrobat 6 and it happpened and then i did catch
that but I FORGOT how I did it...
SO I reinstaled all Office and its is working NOW the big thing ONCE
i update to 10.1.5 will it do it again??
