When opening Outlook 2003 I recieve a "word has encountered a problem.." error

We are using Windows Xp Pro, Office 2003. Have all recent updates.

Just opening Outlook, we are getting "Word has encountered and error
and must close" messages. Error message below.

It started out with just 1 user and has spread to many more now, as a
temporary workaround we have disabled word as the editor in Outlook.
Any help in figuring this out so we can use word in Outlook again, is
very much appriciated.

If I have left any needed information out, let me know and I will
search it out and add it in.
