when opening word, i need to close a dialog box.. how do i do so?

When i open a word document i get a message that says

" The command cannot be performed because a dialog box is open. Click OK,
and then close open dialog boxes to continue."

when i click on OK the message goes away and the word document then opens.
HOWEVER I cant find ant "dialog boxes" that i can close so it doesnt happen
eveytime i open a word document... HELP ME!!!!

This is often caused by the Office Plug-in in Norton AntiVirus. If you're
running NAV, disable the Office Plug-in. If not, the problem may be caused
by another add-in.
