When recording in OneNote, voices drowned out by handwriting noise

When I try to to record meetings in OneNote, the actual discussion in the
meeting is drowned out by the sound of my note-taking -- that is, the sound
of my pen hitting the TabletPC screen. I am a fairly forceful writer, but
not that bad. I am using the internal mic in my TabletPC, which I guess is
picking up internal computer noise over external voices. Do I need to get a
different mic to record audio while using OneNote?

Any help you can provide would be great. Thanks!

Thanks! Just as I suspected. Any suggestions on a good, unobtrusive mic? I
don't want to hide that I'm recording meetings, but I don't want it to stick
out like a sore thumb either.

If you don't want to make any suggestions, that's fine. Thanks for letting
me know what the problem was.

I haven't tested that many myself - I use an Olympus digital recorder
connected via audio cable to my tablet's Mic jack. But it's not that
subtle. :)

I'm told there are some pretty good USB mics and I wouldn't be surprised
if you could find a nice little Bluetooth model that might be pretty
subtle.

Those are both excellent suggestions. I'll look around. Either of those
wouldn't be that obtrusive. I have an Olympus recorder too, so I could try
that. When you use it to record in OneNote, is the program still able to
synchronize the recording with your notes?
