The next full version with any new features will be OneNote 2007, due in
the Fall timeframe. There might be another Service Pack for Office 2003
before the end of its lifetime but it probably won't contain any new
features.

Erik, why do you continue to say due out in the "fall"? As you well
know, Microsoft has officially announced a delay until early 2007, at
the earliest.

I'm not Erik, but I can answer that... The release to the consumer market
has been delayed to the fall, but corporate/enterprise versions are still
scheduled to ship in the fall. So, the release date (launch date) remains the
fall. Will it be fall? Who knows, but that's official word as of now and
all any of us can go by.

The release to the consumer market
has been delayed to the fall,

Should read:

"The release to the consumer market has been delayed to Jan 2007 (subject to
change),"?

Since the OP asked about the usual user (which I interpret to mean private
individuals), the relevant answer for the OP would seem to be Jan 2007
(subject to change) at the earliest?

Fall doesn't officially end until
DEC 21 2006 722 PM EST - 0022 UTC DEC 22
So the fall time frame is'nt a bad estimate.
