In MS Word (2000 9.0.2720), I have turned ON the 'Track Changes' feature with
'Highlight changes on screen' and 'Hilight changes in printed document'
options unchecked.
If I use 'DELTE KEY' to delete characters from a word, when the cursor leaves
the word, the spell checker is NOT WORKING (RED wavy underline is NOT coming)
If I use BACKSPACE key to delete characters from a word, when the cursor
leaves the word, ITS WORKING (red wavy underline is coming)
If I SELECT AND DELETE certain characters, spell checker is NOT WORKING for
both DELTE KEY and BACKSPACE key.
eg: if i use delete key to delete
'e' from the word 'these' and the the spell checker wont underline
the resultant word 'thse'.
But if i use backspace it will be having the wave underline after I leave
the word.
MY QUESTION IS what exactly is the difference between using a BACKSPACE key
and DELETE key in MS word. (i.e., when using a backspace key MSWord does
something or call some fucntion which it is not doing when using a 'delete'
key.)
Is there any method that i can call after a 'delete' key press in my word
automation program so that wavy underlining come?
Note: I used an RTF document for testing. 'Check spelling and grammer as u
type' options are ON both in the 'options dialog' and 'Set language dialog'.
Language is set as 'US english'.
Also In the above said condition if i use BACKSPACE key to delete a
character from a word, I cannot use the DELETE key to delete the character
that immediately following the character deleted using backspace key.
(Is there any service updates of word 2000 that corrects this problem?)
Thanks In Advance,
Rose.
