When trying to make new files in Word, only the first page is vis.

When I start with a new blank file in MS WORD 2003 and start typing or
pasting text into it, whatever text fitting the first page appears in the
'PRINT VIEW'. The rest of the document is visible under 'Normal View' but is
not printable and not counted as pages. In other words the document is only
one page regardless of whatever characters I type there. What is the cause
and how to solve this?

Hi, Luckyman3996. In Word, click on Tools | Options | File Locations, and
note the folder for User Templates. That is where your Normal.dot global
template file is located. Open normal.dot, and click on Format | Columns |
One | Apply to: Whole document | OK. Even if "One" already appears to be
selected, click on it anyway. Type one or two characters, and delete what
you just typed. Save and close normal.dot.
