When trying to save documents in Word 2003 it freezes - any soluti

This has only happened recently and even though Autorecovery brings back the
documents, I still can't save them. I can view documents, but pressing 'save'
or 'save as' freezes the screen and word has to be closed. Any help would be
appreciated.

We had a similar problem at home and work with Office XP. We could save
files, but if we tried "save as" freezes the screen. We had to upgrade to
2003 and run Office patches to "save as". We could do all the bulleted items
listed in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918165. Only "save as" didn't
work. Everything else worked OK.

Bennett, I'm having exactly the same problem. I tried to reinstall
Office and reload the service packs but without success. Please share
any success or solutions.

All of a sudden I too am having this problem. When I try to 'save as' or
'send to' a document from 'My Documents' it freezes. I must confess this
scares me.
