When trying to use wizards for creating tables etc in a new DB I get....

J

Jamie Oswald

the following error:

Method 'CurrentDb' of Object'_Application

I have installed the latest MDAC (2.8) files but this
hasn't helped.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks

Hi Jamie -

Try these steps to see if it helps resolve the issue you are experiencing.

1. Close Access.
2. Selecte Start. . . Search. . . All Files and Folders. . . and searched
for DAO360.DLL and REGSVR32.EXE. (You search for them at the same time by
adding a comma between them. Example - dao360.dll,regsvr32.exe)
3. Click and hold the dao360.dll file and Drag it over the regsvr32.exe
file and release the mouse button.
folder.
4. You should get a Registration Succeeded message.
5. Now, reopen Access and see if you are still experiencing the issue.

Hope that helps!! :)
