When trying to view a.gif file i get the source code?

I am trying to view a logo in a . gif file and all I get seems to be a source
code. Can anyone please tell me what has gone wrong. I was working in an Exel
workbook, I am a new user. I would be grateful for any help you may be able
to give Thank you. Rab
