When using Exchange I've entered CONTACT info with birthdates

When entering student information in CONTACTS at our school I also use the
DETAILS tab of the contact form and enter their birthdate. It only puts
their birthdate withing MY own calendar. Is there a way to change the
default so that the students' birthdays automatically go into the PUBLIC
FOLDER I can create for CALENDAR so that the birthdays show for all the
teachers to see?

Can you please expand on that as I don't know exactly what to do...do I need
to re-enter all birthdates in a public folder I create in Calendar?

Thank you.

No. You'll need to move them to the shared calender.

switch to By category view then select all birthdays (ctrl+a) and drag to
the other folder. You can also right click and choose move or copy to.
