When using "Save as..." no Location Window appears

With certain documents I get the following problem:

A certain Word document has been stored on a network drive (G:\). I am able
to open the Word document, edit it, but when I want to "save as..." there
won't appear a window where I can choose a location at all, resulting in not
being able to save the document as a new version.
- I have modify permissions on this network folder.
- When I copy these Word documents to my C:\Temp, I am able to open them and
the "Save as..." function works normally.
- When I copy these Word documents to another network drive (Q:\), I am able
to open them and the "Save as..." function works normally.
- When I create a new Word document in the network folder (G:\), I don't have
this problem, only with certain excisting documents!

Has anybody an idea what's the cause of this behaviour?

Has anybody an idea what's the cause of this behaviour?

- Word 2000
- Client: Winows XP Pro
- Servers (G:\ and Q:\) Filers with Ontap OS

The KB that you are linking to seams different to me.
I don't get an error message at all!
The problem is that when I try to save the document as... (File - Save as...),
there won't appear a window where I can choose the location.
Word doesn't hang or produces an error.
