When will Business Contact Manager get a PDA sync option.

Hi,
I am unable to use Outlook with to run my consultancy, because I cannot
sync vital contact information with my PDA when using Business Contact
Manager. It is a very good program. When will this simple sync option be made
available for Outlook 2003 with BCM users?
Most of your competitor products have this facility.

Dear Hans,

on this site:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...18-C310-4599-81D1-558CF385ED88&displaylang=en

Microsoft write:
This download contains two parts: a sync provider for Microsoft Active Sync
and a program residing on the Microsoft Windows Mobile Pocket PC device.

Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Software for Pocket PC Second Edition,
Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Software for Pocket PC, or Microsoft Windows
Mobile 2002

Microsoft ActiveSync 3.71 or later

so the update of the BCM supports ActiveSync. Maybe your PDA is not based on
Windows CE/Windows Mobile with ActiveSync?

I can't believe I can't sync with my WM5 device! Who releases a new product
that doesn't have all the features of the old product - Presenting the new
Toyota Camry - We didn't bother including a windshield - not enough people
mentioned it was an important feature in any feedback we received. Sure it
was never asked but hey, no one mentioned it.

Dear Oliver,
I went to your suggested link for the download, but it is not "yet"
compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0, which is the system my new Dell Axim
uses. This is really frustrating. Are there any other downloads that
accomplish this same function that are compatible with MS Windows Mobile 5.0?
Thanks!

I too am looking into implementing BCM for a client. They want to be able to
sync BCM with a new Pocket PC delivered with Window Mobile 5.0. From what
I've read the currently available downloadable required component, Business
Contacts for Pocket PC (V1, posted 6/2005), doesn't support Windows Mobile
5.0. I contacted MS Customer Support to try to find out if a newer version
supporting WM 5.0 would be forthcoming and if so, is there a target date I
can let my client know about. They replied with a form letter that didn't
answer the question. I've replied back with a - simplied - restatement of
the question. Awaiting a response.

Anyone else have insight into when BCM might be able to sync with PPCs
running WM 5.0? I will also be checking the Mobile newsgroup for info about
this.

Thanks...

Update:

Customer Service referred me to Sales. I called and was informed Microsoft
has no plans to provide for synchronization with Windows Mobile 5.0 for the
Outlook 2003 BCM Update product. The functionality is to be included in the
next release of MS Office ("2007"). There is no release date yet.
