when will powerpoint speed up

I now have a new g4 pbook (1.25), Panther 10.3.1 and the latest version
of Office - and Powerpoint is still slower (transitions, animations,
populating the slide sorter view) than an old ibook running system 9.
What is the problem? When will Apple and Microsoft get their act
together? I'm beginning to look forward to the next beta version of
Keynote ;-)

Now is a good time to express your concerns to Microsoft, as they are
preparing Office 2004 for release. To let them know that you would like to
have them pay attention to the speed of the slide sorter view please use the
feedback item on PowerPoint's help menu.
