Where and how can I adjust a curreny number

I am very new to access and am fumbling my way through.

I have a database of over 250K records with one of the fields being currency.

I am trying to divide all the sales numbers by 1000 so instead of it being
5000000 it would read 5000

Can you please give me instructions, in simple form as I am a new user, on
how to do this.
