where are downloaded SP2 files

Hi,

Where are downloaded SP2 files and could we delete it after installation?

I already downloaded the full version for future use and wish to delete
those files downloaded using Office Update installation.

PS: I found many people are having problem with installation of SP 2 as I
did at first, you may wish to try for what I have done - download the full
version, turn off Firewall and Antivirus, and install from local. After
successfully installations (which may require a reboot), run office update
again (and it may still show you need to install SP 2 and other updates),
turn off Firewall and Anti-virus again and try install from Office Update
again (and be patient as it may take a while) and then it will complete the
whole thing.

Reasons for why doing this - unknown. Unlike previous updates for Windows
and Office, it does not provide any error messages for why installation
failed nor Norton (at least for my case) did provide any warning message.

Hope this helps and thanks if anyone knows where those initial downloaded
files from Office Update are kept, and I can "kill" them all.

You really shouldn't "kill" the patch files that were downloaded to your
machine. The Windows Installer needs these files to be able to repair Office
and avoid corruption. Please leave these files on your machine, deleting them
will cause serious problems. It's very possible that most of the problems
seen on this forum are due to corrupted installations of Office.

Ok, and I could not find it anyway.

Just thought to save some precious space, but if it'd cause potential
problems, I'd certainly not do it.

Thanks.
