where are files or attachments stored in OUtlook 2003

I have problem locating files attached to me for approval after amendment.
After making amendments, I clicked on the icon Save but could not locate the
amended file. Where can I find it? Sometimes, I go back to the attachment,
the amended document would be there. But at times, it's not updated. Why?

When you directly open an attachment from within Outlook, then the
attachments are cached in the Outlook Secure Temp Folder. It's location is
different on each machine. To find it on your machine see;

It is never a good idea to edit and save an attachment directly. Always save
the attachment to a folder of your choice first and then modify it there.
