Where are MSOffice 4.3 -> 98+ conevrters

V

vjp2

I have dual boot Win 3.11wg & 98.

I had some problems with MSOffice and reinstalled on W98 side
and it detected the Win3 and deleted them.

I dug up the CD and reinstalled.. seems ok (addins, fonts, templates
still there, phew!), but it seems the file converters that allowed MS
Office 4.3 to read files from later versions is gone. I tried Open and
SaveAs and I don't see them.

I think I had missed one generation of converters once (like back in
1998) and then they weren't on the MS web site any more so I was
pretyt much stuck with only Word97 and HTML converters

Anyone know where I can find them?

There are good (but diminishing) reasons to keep using the old software.

Hi Vasos-Peter John,

You can add this converter to add to Office (Word v6)
in Win 3.1 to Open Word 97 through Word 2003 .doc files.
http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/wrd97cnv.aspx
The page also has a link for the one to install in Word 6
on Window 95 and higher.
