I just switched from Word 2003 for Windows to Word 2008 for Mac and the most basic of buttons - cut and paste - are missing! I can't find them in any of the available toolbars. I use them all the time. Can someone help? Thank you...

There are a couple of ways:

* click on Edit>Cut and Edit>Paste
* use the keyboard shortcuts Cmd+x for Cut and Cmd+v for paste
* ctrl-/right-click the toolbar in Word and choose Customise Toolbars and
Menus. In the new window, click on the Commands tab, select Edit from the
list and drag the icons for Cut, Copy and Paste back into the Standard
toolbar.
