Where are the Wingdings, etc.?

Last week when I typed a letter, I was able to go to Font > Wingdings
[or whatever little images I wanted], and a little screen would appear
showing all the images. This week, no screen appears. "Wingdings" or
whatever I chose appears in the toolbar, in the field showing the
typing font (and, obviously, I'm not going to type a letter in Wingding
images).

I've tried double-clicking, single-clicking, going to Preferences
(nothing helpful there), going to Help (nothing remotely helpful
there). Where are my little Wingding screens??

Try Insert | Symbol, and select Wingdings in the font list there. Font |
Wingdings never produced a little screen with options.

Your instructions worked--the little screen with all the symbols showed
up. Thank you!
