I have searched my installs for Outlook 2003(part of Office2003) and
Exchange 2003 and haven't found anything related to newprof.exe. All the
tech articled I can find on creating automatic profiles on login for outlook
mention it but I haven't found it. They say it is on the Outlook CD but we
only have the office CD and I don't see it there.

Newprof.exe is neither supported nor needed in Outlook 2003. You need to be
using a .prf file, as described in the Office Resource Kit.

Thanks - sorry if I'm not doing well at this. I tried creating outlook ops
file - and it created one but then I went to my mail settings - removed my
profile - tried importing the ops setting but I failed either in configuring
the ops correctly or importing it, because it didn't create a profile for
me.

Thanks for your patience.

The .ops file has nothing to do with Outlook profiles, despite the fact that
it's created by the Office Profile Wizard. You can use either the Custom
Installation Wizard or the Custom Maintenance Wizard to create a .prf file
to create or modify an Outlook profile.

Read the docs in the ORK on prf files.

Thanks the prf file works!

How do i "run" the prf file from the logon script. If I click on the file
it works great. I'd like to add it to the logon script though.
