I have a copy of Visio 2003 Pro. However the CD it is on is badly scratched
and when I try to install the program on my new (clean) installation of XP, I
get the error message that VISPRO.exe could not be copied to the local hard
drive.
I tried copying the entire CD to a temp folder on my hard drive but when it
gets to VISPRO.msi it errors out. The error message is "Windows detected a
cyclic redundancy error" and it obviously wont copy.
I have managed to recover every other file on that disk through quite a bit
of work, but cannot get that one last file. Is there anything I can do? Do
I have to buy another copy of this?
