where can I get officeupdate11\cabs\511167 if I don't have it

M

Mel

I am trying to install OfficeXP Pro and this popped up when I was trying to
install.

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable.

Click Ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the
installion package '511167.MAINSP3op.msp' in the box below.

in the box "Use source" box it has the following path:
ProgramFiles\OfficeUpdate11\Cabs\511167\

I have looked in this folder and there is no such item can anyone help me as
to where I can find this so that I may continue with my installation?

Hi Mel,

..MSP files are patches to the original product. Once applied (in Office 2000-2003) a copy is generally stored in \WinNT\Installer
(or \Windows\Installer). Updates from http://officeupdate.com for Office 2003 may be in \Program Files\OfficeUpdate11\.

If you used a 3rd party 'cleanup' utility (or manually deleted) the \WinNT\Installer folder content the fallback is to the
OfficeUpdate11 folder, but it may be retained.

To check if the installation of Office is 'broken' try running a 'Repair/Reinstall' from the
Microsoft Office 2003
choice in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel (have your Office CDs available).

If it fails you may need to use the MS Installer Cleanup utility
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295823/en-us?FR=1
to remove the Office listing from the registry temporarily, then restart the PC, reinstall and reacquire and install the Office
2003 updates.

Be sure to set a restore point and backup your documents/files before proceeding.
