Where can I learn more about status reports?

I have tried PWA status reports, but would like to extend them to get around
the following issues:
1) Track who received them (emailing them does not save in Outlook Sent
Items, for traceability).

2) PWA Status reports allow subheadings on blocks of text, but do not import
any % complete or task lists or costs from the Project itself. Also would
like to set graphical indicators.

3) The reports are only visible in Archived Status Reports to those who are
initially supposed to get them, and they are not clearly linked to the
project. How can I post them to the projects sharepoint site as documents?
(FOund the answer to this at
http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/ForwardTeamStatusReport.htm)

4) Can I grab the report text out of the SQL Server database with a VB
script? Where and how are they stored?

5) Can I use the Status Reports entry box as a web part to set up an
interactive document in Sharepoint?

Basically, a Reference on PWA status reports would be helpful!

Many thanks for any suggestions!

Progress report:
1) by using the 'how to email a report' link in the answer to 3 below,
Outlook saves a copy of the email in 'Sent Mail'.

4) It appears Project Status Report Data is stored in the
MSP_WEB_STATUS_RESPONSES table in the ProjectServer database. The response
information is stored as XML, in one massive string with all sections and
headers marked up with tags that would need decoding. Have not worked out
how to know which report it is or relate it to which project.
