I UPGRADED FORM OFFICE 2000 TO OFFICE 2003 AND THE OFFICE UPDATE DETECTION
TOOL stop working.

http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate and clicking Check For Updates

What message are you seeing preventing you from running Office Update
Detection?
