where do i find dialog boxes

i get this pop-up in word telling me that a command cannot be performed
becuase dialog box is open. close dialog box and continue. how do i close
dialog boxes and where do i find them

Hi Joe,

From the point of view of Windows, a dialog box is just another window, and
just like any other window, it can be concealed by the other windows that are
on top of it. Fortunately, Windows offers several ways to cycle through all
the open windows.
I personally prefer pressing Alt+Tab to do this. When you come to the dialog
box, choosing the appropriate options (if there are any) and clicking OK or
simply clicking Cancel is usually the best course of action. Another
possibility is to click the X in the upper right-hand corner.
