Where Do Names in <> Come From?

We are running Exchange 2000 Enterprise on Windows 2K Server with SP4. Users
are running Outlook 2K3 with SP1. for a particular users account, when
someone types the first letters of their name, the username displays
correctly, but the name following it in brackets is incorrect. I've looked
at all the Exchange Properties in Active Directory, but can't locate the
error. Any solutions anyone could provide would be most appreciated.
