Where do the pieces go?

I tried to install a disk version of Office Std 2007 on my new laptop. It
took a while, but it said the install was complete. But they don't show up
on my desktop as icons, and when I open my START folder the only one there is
Outlook way up at the top. No Word, or Excel or Powerpoint. I'm new to
Windows and Vista (this is Vista Home) but I thought all the applications
would be on the desktop or in the Start items. When I tried to reinstall the
disk, all it would let me do it access some kind of customizing screen for
Office. So my laptop thinks it has them already. Where are they hiding???

If you click the Start button, then All Programs (may have to scroll down
some) then Microsoft Office you should see all the Office programs
installed. If you right click on them, one at a time and drag them to the
desktop you can create shortcuts on the desktop easily.

Did you by any chance have the Office Trial installed in your computer and you
installed the Office STD 2007 without removing the Trial first.
