Where does groove store its data.

I know that groove 2007 uses relay and account servers but that data is
basically peer to peer and stored locally. I upgraded my laptop to windows 7
and of course as this was a clean install, I had archived the contents of the
hard disk prior to doing that, although I didnt make special provision for
groove. On another machine half a world away is second copy of the data. My
problem is how to get the data back to the laptop while I am here. I assume
that if I knew what the data file was called and where it should be that it
would work if I copied it back from the archive. I also realise that if I
could reach back through the internet to that other machine I could push a
synch to my upgraded laptop. Whats the best way out of my predicament?

The supported method is to copy your account from the PC with your workspace,
import it on the new installation, and then fetch your workspaces over the
network. However, it sounds like that is not an option for you at the moment.

There is an unsupported method that is documented here:
"How to copy Groove 2007 data to a new computer when a network connection is
very slow or when a network connection does not exist"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945387

Follow these direction exactly, using your backup as the 'old computer'.
