Where does Word store AutoCorrect and AutoText items?

I have my own AutoCorrect and AutoText items but don’t know where Word
X stores them so each time I upgrade to another computer, I have to
recreate them. The same thing with words that I have added to the
custom dictionary.

This has happened to me many times but I think it’s about time I give
myself a break and ask someone for help. Where can I find the files
that stores these things to copy over to a new computer?

AutoCorrect is stored in the MS Office ACL file in the prefs folder;
AutoText is stored in templates, the Normal template if you don't change it.
There are full details on finding and restoring these things at

word.mvps.org/macWordNew/backupprefs.htm
(hit refresh a few times in Safari, or use a different browser)

And it is a good idea to back them up regularly as well.
