Where has my Calendar gone???

When I click on Calendar in the Navigation Pane, the box above changes to
"Calendar" yet everything to the right of the Navigation Pane remains
unchanged and nothing appears below the word Calendar. As a workaround I can
click on Go>FolderList>Calendar>Go>Calendar and then the window to the right
of the Navigation Pane turns into my calendar and the space above the
Navigation Folders turns into the two-month calendar view. But until 5 hours
ago, if I just clicked on the Calendar folder in my Navigation Pane, all that
automatically appeared! I did delete everything in my Temporary folder to
clean up my system (a mistake?) and even reinstalled Office (2003), but still
no repair. I run XP PRO SP3. Can anyone help me to get this back to
"normal?" Thanks.

Does it work correctly in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

At first it did not. It ran exactly as it did in normal mode. But before
responding to your post, I decided to try Outlok in safe mode again, and it
worked correctly! Then I went into Outlook in normal mode, and it now works
correctly! What magic did you perform for me??? Thanks!
