I have been backing up my pc and i need the location of where the actual
email files are for outlook 2002. I have tried googling it but most results
come up for MS OE.
I have also tried this website and outlook's office assisstant and help.

Any Ideas?

No, the mail/calendar etc are contained within the pst file, which can only
be viewed within OL
You can view an individual mail msg by other means, but you still have to
open OL to start the process. Its a bit tedious if there are masses of mails
you wish to have available elsewhere. You can have multiple Personal Folders
open within OL though.

view each individaul email without using MS outlook. is there a file of the
actual email itself?

Hi Thanks for the reply. This did help but is there any way to
actually view each individaul email without using MS outlook.
No.

is there a file of the actual email itself?

All Outlook message, calendar, contact, task, note, and journal items are
kept in one file: the PST.
