Where is my post?

I posted a question here a few hours ago and received an e-mail that there is
a response. When I click on the link it takes me to completely blank site
page. I do not see my question posted here either. Any help? Thanks

Your post hasn't appeared *here* because you posted it to the Windows PPT
group : microsoft.public.powerpoint

rather than this one: microsoft.public.office.mac.powerpoint

You do have 2 replies there but I don't think either of them really address
the problem you're encountering. I've included forwarded copy below.

The primary question is "What image format is the logo in and how did you
designate transparent area in the image?" ‹ PNG & GIF are the only ones that
support transparency cross-platform.

It would also be useful to know exactly how you went about inserting the
logo into the PPt file, what format you saved the file in, as well as other
specifics about the situation. What do you mean by "I have had to change
logos..."? Change what? Change how?

Does the logo itself display but with a white background or does the entire
image placeholder display as white?

Subject: is there a compatility problem betweem MAC PPT when displayed on a
I have spent many hours putting together a PPT presentation on my Mac-Leopard
Op. System. I have had to change logos to have transparent background in AI
and all is well when played on my MAC. However when sent to a PC ((XP and
Vista) The playback is corupt. The logos show up with a white box. Can you
help. I have been told by Apple that there is a compatibility problem
between the two programs. How can I create a presentation on my MAC if it
cannot be viewed by PC users. Most of my clients are PC users. FYI-had a
logic board crash a few weeks ago and . Is it possible that I might have to
uninstall and reinstall all MS Office for MAC?

Thanks

Dozens or maybe even hundreds of websites link to these Usenet
newsgroups, which are neither hosted nor moderated by them.

You should direct your question to the website's owner instead.

Hope this helps!

The logo change was that I put a white background into which the logo background disappears. It was an AI, file and I believe I placed it into the PPT slide. Thank you so you think it is possible to find a work around that Windows will accept?
